The Upgrade item is a unique evolution item that trainers can utilize to transform Porygon into Porygon2. This transformation requires an upgrade as well as the Sinnoh Stone and 50 Porygon Candy.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to an item, but the previous one is destroyed (except for legendaries and Ascended equipment). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or more. The addition of an upgrade to an existing weapon equipped with a suffix or prefix upgrade will display the name of the upgraded item as it would appear in game (for instance, adding a Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only have three upgrade items at one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be a great accessory to any item. They offer unique benefits and boosts. Certain glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, which increases the power of the item. These glyphs are obtained by completing Dungeons. Some are even found in specific World Tier 3 zones. It's important to keep in mind that glyphs are not available on a character that has not created a root dungeon with the same depth.
In order to use a Glyph, you must first build it from components and connect them using anchors. Then, the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you do not want to create the glyph with components, you can make use of a combination of anchors and paths. Drag an element in the direction of a component highlighted to snap it into the right spot.
Certain glyphs require certain requirements to be fulfilled, such as 25 Dexterity in a specific area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a certain number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which may be a bit difficult to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius, which increases as you move up.
Glyphs can be found on various items, and can be added to any weapon, except for weapons of a particular class. Certain glyphs can be used with additional requirements, for example a certain amount of Dexterity damage or Attack damage on a specific area of the Paragon board.

Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results rolled while performing an Action. When the reroll happens, they are thrown away. Reroll tokens are obtained in several ways, including through raids, dungeons, and skirmishes. You can also buy them in the shops, or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons and trials since they allow players to play a reroll of rewards of the final chest.
The values for recycling points are provided for items at level 1. The upgrade gauge will grow by a specific amount of points each time you recycle an item. This number is determined by both the item's rarity and level. In addition the upgraded item won't retain its level when rerolled and the cost for recycling an upgraded item goes up depending on its level.
The player can also use reroll tokens to make an item rerollable. However it won't bring back the item's original stats, or level. This is useful for players who wish to reroll a piece of equipment they don't like but want to keep in their collection.
Three different kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game: Reroll, randomly generated and upgrade. Each type has a few subtypes. A Weapon or Misc token produces a new weapon belonging to the same faction.
There is also the possibility that the item could be upgraded to a different item with an increased level and the same extra stats. This will occur if the item has been placed in the Non-Droppable Pool or if it was transferred to it as part of the franchise card.
